that i've sunk this low in my life........ i am 26 and have nothing , i am staying with a friend who as of recently has grown alittle tired of me , i can't find a job in this small town and i'm trying the best i can to get back to indianapolis where i have friends that i can stay with and who will not kick me out til i can make it on my own and am on my feet again, called my brothers thinking of what he always told me" don't ever think u don't have a place to go- cause u can always come here", then he gives me a lame excuse about having too many boxes in his house and so i can't stay there...... after the week before he tells me that i'm welcomed - and then avoids me until the last minute- really good to know that my family just doesn't care! so i'm at my wits end trying to find a ride to indy, even put an ad on the craigslist rideshare............. i hate my life and being me............................................

We don't deal much in rides to Indianapolis here in the nut hut, but we do listen and some of us have the capacity to reach out to the hand reaching for us. You sound like a good person who got turned into a blind inner alley. Can you stop hating yourself and your life long enough to stop and make a few friends here? Believe me, I know the rejection by family thing. I went and found my own family; one that IS there for me. I will bet the rent that you will soon be able to do the same. Never give up, and please do not isolate yourself. Good Post.

sorry :( it will get better, i dont want to insert too many lame cliches here, but i hear you and am sending you strength, when you are rich and famous and your brother asks you for a loan, tell him there are too many boxes lying around and you can't remember wich one you put all the money in :)

lol at the second reply- yeah i already thought about that- i know things will get better , but i just really want to be in indianapolis and have a job already so that i can get on my feet and be away from this place where i feel so unwanted.....

I hope you are able to make it back to an area where you do have friends and opportunity to find a job. I am sorry your immediate family are not able to go up to bat for you in your time of need. It is hard whem we have to catch the dangling ropes to pull ourselves up--we do not have the strength or means to--and there are no knots in the ropes to help our grip.

how far is it, cant one of your friends come get ya? a good friend would surely do that. to bad about your brother, he may need you someday. never know.

be very careful of craigslist, in this day, i wouldnt be wanting any friend of mine hopping in the car with pple they dont know.

have you checked to see if your rural area might have some type of bus service to the city? im in a rural area, and there is a bus that you can take up to the nearest large city, about 80 miles from me. it runs once a week. its cheap and better than taking a chance on strangers. good luck

its about 10 hours away- i know they would come and get me - but they have 3 kids and no spare money- yeah well at this point i don't really care if it is a weirdo, i am willing to take my chances- doubt anyone will reply though....... but hey i had to do everything i can...

how much is a bus ticket from there? maybe you can find something, a waitress job, something anything to get enough for the bus fare.

lots of sickos out there, thats the point, about placing an ad on craigslist. i understand you feel pressed to get back there, but think of what could happen if some weirdo did answer your ad. dont compromise your safety for a ride back to indy.
