Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Hi, I don't have a Dx for anything but I am feeling pretty hopeless, like no one loves, likes, or cares about me. I feel like I have nothing to offer and no reason to live. How do you keep going when you feel like this? How do you brak through it and find motivation to be happy?

With help from therapy, medication as necessary and the idea that you’re strong otherwise you wouldn’t be here asking for that help. It takes more resolve to say I can’t do this alone than to succumb to the helplessness. Yes I know you may have heard this same advice before. It can and does get better be it on our own with friends on DS or a big support group of friends and family, believe and it can happen. Blessings on your journey.

Thank you Ghostdancer, I tried therapy before but I have trouble opening up and being honest. I also felt like my therapist didn't care about me, so I am scared to seek out another one and make myself vulnerable to rejections or abandonment again.
