Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I sometimes feel like I'm at the bottom of the Pecking Order in my family.
My sisters are smarter than me, cleaner than me, stronger than me, more talented than me, braver than me, have more friends than me... I don't like comparing myself to others but it's hard when I can't seem to keep my room clean, can't seem to beat anyone at arm wrestles, can't play the piano as well or even while people are at home, can't seem to go to parties/stores/someones house, can't seem to keep any friends besides my 2 friends.
After 2 years of being in a neighborhood, I finally was able to make some friends at my church. Then, BOOM! We were forced to move. They didn't have phones so I can't contact them at all.
My first experience with a friend wasn't that great. We were best friends. One day she had to move so we started emailing. One of her emails said "Oh my goodness! I forgot all about you!"
We lost contact after that and I have no doubt she forgot me again. Now I have no doubt my friends at my old church will forget me.
Doctor Who and Studio C really help me with my depression. I smile and laugh the entire time I watch them. Right now, someone is at our house, fixing our washing machine, so The Day of the Doctor, (The 50th anniversary special) Doctor Who is paused. I was doing fine. Then my mom yelled downstairs, complimenting my sister on her clean room. I've been working hard on cleaning my room. It's such a mess right now. I don't even have a proper bed right now. It's just some mattress' stacked on top of each other. I just want a restart with my room. More depression and jealousy after my mom did that for my dad's room and not for mine. I really don't like being jealous and being at the bottom of the pecking order.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

depression is hard and youth is not immune from it.....so seek some professional help if need be....
I don't really feel comfortable yet with sending my email and pictures of my room yet. Please don't take it personally.
Maybe some other time...
You have to sort out your own life and not be that dependent upon your mother's approval. I'm a little older but good steps happened when I started not worrying about whether my mother approved or not, and just did my thing to the best of my ability.
Don't compare yourself. There's no point and you aren't an objective judge. The family pecking order and jealousy and stuff is really hard. I think that goes on for years and decades and it's just sort of normal in families. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how it was in mine.
