Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

So...my birthday is tomorrow and even though I don't consider myself "old", I'm still feeling a sense of loss. Yeah, yeah, I'll be 29 and I'm still a "baby" but even so, I feel like I wasted my 20s just trying to get stable. Anxiety was in the way, depression was in the way, SAD was in the way, and my own lack of experience, largely due to my extraordinarily sheltered childhood.
I feel like all the things that normal people started doing when they were 12 (expressing themselves, forming their own opinions, figuring out life, asking questions, etc.), I didn't start doing until I was 22. So, I feel about 10 years behind the curve. In the meantime, the rest of the world is treating me like I've had all these experiences...
Listening to my Beloved talk about his 20s makes me jealous...he did all the crazy stuff that gives you good stories when you are older...he was in the Army, drove around in fast cars, had meaningless romances, bought a boat, moved to Florida, was in a band, slept on the beach, became a ghost hunter, on and on and on, and I feel so useless in comparison.
I spend my time studying, reading, playing video games, and hanging out in coffee shops with people who don't even return my calls anymore...I don't have any memories of "Aw yeah! What an awesome night that was!"
Blargh. Maybe I'm just being a whiny millennial. I feel like I'm coming to the real end of my "youth" and I didn't get to do anything "wild and crazy". I feel like I've missed my window of opportunity somehow.
I'm not sure what I wanted from this post other than to express my regret. Maybe a good "Carpe Diem!" to anyone who reads this.
Happy Birthday to me.

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

No matter how hard we try, we can not change the past. So work on changing your "now"!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Things are not like they used to be, you could get away with more in the past, there was nobody holding a phone recording you back then and people eventually forgot about it, or it just became old news.
Maybe you have the wisdom to not do things that are quite as crazy or as illegal as some folks did in their early 20's, but you can still live spotaneously and make great memories for yourself no matter what your age...
I think it's pretty normal to reflect, but don't let regret weigh you down...live in the present moment as best you can....Happy Birthday!
Perhaps you can write your own bucket list and start doing things on it?
