Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I have felt that way often, something triggers a change in my perspective and its not always for the better.
I hope you can find a place of comfort and strength again soon!
First of all I would like to offer you the chance to read my essay #1 in my journal, and your daughter is welcome to read it as well. I was bullied from Kindergarten all the way up into my early 20's. I now have 7 grandchildren that I would defend life and limb. And I don't allow anyone to treat me like they did when I was young. I was both physically abused and emotionally abused all through school and sexually abused to add a little more pain to an already beat up child. Your post is not too long at all and I can feel those scars as if they were mine. I have plenty to live with as well. But the physical scars go away, it's just a matter of learning how not to let the bullies win and leave us with emotional scars the rest of our lives.
I don't understand why this person did not have the decency or morality to offer apologies to you as well but I'm not even going to respond to why I think that is how it turned out. You say that you can no longer help your daughter because this guy didn't have the balls to apologize to you? Is that fair to your child? I don't believe it is. Please read my essay #1 and then we can talk again. I'm not just talking out of one side of my mouth.
