Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I hope things get better!
Peace.
We're all bad moms, IN OUR MINDS. When my son was three, I was OVERWHELMED. I had no support. I was so sad. I would wake up and not know how I was going to be a mom to someone who was running around nonstop and drinking Juicy Juice all day.
One word. Delegate.
If you can, for an hr let someone step in. If that's not an option, dont even worry about it, I'm at year 14 and he cant remember a thing! lol!!!!
I STILL worry. Just worried a friend on here about it.
I applaude you as a mom! We're not meant to be robots. Your strength and stamina are incredible!!!!!
My son washed with CONDITIONER tonight. All I could was sit back down! I just couldnt explain it any further girl...........
Seriously, when I look back at my time as a mom of a toddler and young child of one, I wasnt that bad. I wasnt super, I was tired, I was not a stay in the kitchen mom. If I had this site then though, I would have understood that I wasnt a bad mom, I was just a mom. I only saw what I didnt do.
About the medicine.........
Talk to your doctor AND research. You have made it quite a way in your pregnancy. I remember week the third trimester. You cant even walk without thinking about possible dangers to your baby. I made it, but then again if I had a three yr old, a nine year old, school and was pregnant, I'd be THROUGH.
Trust me. We're not as bad as we think. I think we mess up when we try to fit the perfect mode. You get up, deal with your boys and the public! Kudos!
To wait until after the birth to start anti-depressants is such a good idea. EFT tapping therapy is one totally safe, amazing, (and free, so it's underestimated) proven aid in depression.
Getting rid of clutter, especially in the kitchen, is so freeing - I had to
get rid of things that I was sure I had to have, when I moved.
When I could finally afford to replace it, I didn't want to give up the
counter space and how much quicker I could get things done.
Can you wait on the college classes for a while? That's so demanding, even without a new baby and 2 young children.
I hope things get much better for you soon, so you can enjoy your
wonderful family and what, for most, is the best part of life, even if
it is exhausting and overwhelming much of the time.
