Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
YOU ROCK! as a fellow addict...i know how hard it can be to string together a few sober days....(im still sober too...almost 2 weeks) but if we stay strong...before we knwo it we are sober for much longer than we thought possible.

You and Your son Rock.......We all heart you beastie..........We are all so proud of you and your son........Great job, both of you.
The first couple weeks were so hard for Dakota.. He was so depressed.. He is doing great.... I am so very proud of him and myself.. Its a hard road being bi-polar, suffering and not drinking.. But I am going to make it this time..for sure..
Keep it up!
I quit drinking when I was 17... which sounds silly but I had been heavily drinking since I was 12... drank so much there were just weeks I couldn't remember... got to the point where I was drinking so much it just started making me sick all the time which I think made it easier to stop and not go back because I associated being sick with drinking... then quit drugs when I was 22 (coke, acid, x which I has started at 15)... haven't had a single lapse... I think a big part of that was walking away from the people I used to do things with and being poor... so many days I wish I had something to make me not feel as bad as I am feeling (I am not on anything for depression or anxiety either) but since I don't have anything and can't afford anything it sorta keeps me sober... I never thought in a million yrs I would be sober this long... I didn't even start with the mindset of quitting... I told myself I was taking a break and somehow its turned into an 8 yr break.
Way to Go! That is just wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
