I look down at my arms, and hate the scars I see, I look in the mirror and despise what’s looking back at me.

The tummy, the thighs, the face. The idle ‘resting’ heart beating like I’ts just been in a race.

It’s like a black hole with no light, no exit no door, all we can do is fight, like an endless war.

I don’t want to carry on, I don’t want to try, people ask me how are you?, but I’ll smile, and I’ll lie.

I have my scars and I don’t like to show, but I’m often thinking, I wonder if they know?

A sleepless night, a bad day or a thankless task. I don’t really need to show myself, I’ll just put on my mask.

I care about you, your scars tell a story. Make good out of the bad. Tell yourself 5 things every day that you love about yourself. No matter how little. Like hey I really like that spec in my eye. I really like my smile. Find anything positive you can and cling to it. You got this. <3

I understand and I believe we all, well especially women, feel that way about ourselves at times. As I've gotten older, despite that some things have declined from what they were in my youth, I've learned to appreciate some things about myself. I can only do the best with what I have been given. But ask yourself about the people you most admire, what it is you truly admire. Isn't it those non-physical things, like someone who is relaxed, hopeful, not easily upset, confident even though they're not the best? We've all seen attractive people acting horribly and no one really wants to be their friend. Feeling sad affects the way we view everything and everyone. I'm sad if you don't have one person that you can be the true you with. I hope you're in counseling. If it's not working that great try someone else. I understand that you don't want to reveal yourself to everyone though because not everyone's worthy. Hugs.

Being kind to yourself is a process....it's a lifelong journey. It takes a ton of introspection, patience, and trial & error. Time is a major factor. So even if you don't like yourself now, you might gradually outgrow this self disdain. That's just how unexpected life is. I've outgrown chronic issues which pestered me to no avail. I thought I would have them forever. I'm talking 10, 20 year long obsessions/unhealthy habits. So I do understand now that things do change. Even if currently it feels horrible, often it's not permanent.

ONE QUESTION WHAT CHURCH DID JESUS ATTEND SO I CAN FOLLOW THAT RELIGION INSTEAD OF THE MULTITUDE.

Maybe something small?

Lotion on those scars? Or maybe just lotion on a small part of one scar?
