Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

weather and bought several cans of chicken noodle soup and Ritz
crackers. It's my "snowed-in" food.
Don't know if you have any frozen or canned vegetables, but I made this last night and it was really quick and good:
Vegetable Stew
broccoli
corn
carrots, chopped into small pieces
onions, chopped fine
peas
1 can evaporated milk or any milk
1 tbsp EVOO
1 tbsp butter
S & P & garlic powder
Season and cook the vegetables on the oven in a small amount of water, until tender. Sautee in the butter and oil a few more minutes. Add the milk. Puree in Magic Bullet or blender.
I'm glad you have a stove that you can use even without power, but hopefully, you'll have power, too.
This weather is really wearing on me mentally and I am starting to get paranoid. Hurricane Sandy triggered daily panic attacks. I hope this storm isn't that bad and I don't get that bad again.
We are pretty well set up for it. My heart goes out to the folks in Atlanta. They need to come up here for some "survival training". Keep at least a weeks worth of food that you can fix without power, per person. And a heater that does not require electricity. We are on propane so furnace will run but we need a generator for the blower fan. Be very careful if you use a space heater, and especially around pets.
Good luck, and Don't panic, spring is right around the corner. Or so they tell me. I'm looking a drifts that I can't see or blow snow over.
