Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

If the annoying advice and crap you are receiving is from DS members, I can assure you that we are probably not quite "normal". We are all here because we have some sort of issue or concern, be it mental or physical illness, addiction, behavior and personality disorders. The advice and crap you are receiving is most likely based on the personal experience of the members who offer it - DS members who are dealing with or have dealt with all the issues you find yourself facing.
I myself have personally dealt with (and successfully recovered from) divorce, alcoholism/addiction and mental illness. Perhaps I am not so "unlike" you. Perhaps what makes me and others seem to you to be dis-similar is that we have accepted accountability for our issues and actively seek out and participate in way of improving our lives and situations.
