Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I really and truly love her. It's not that she has always been there for me, or done anything for me, (although she has) and it isn't that I have ever done anything for her, or even always been there for her.
Actually, we've had a few rough patches.
But, I love her, and I trust her.
I think she has a pure heart.
I think she cares so much for others.
I appreciate and understand her vulnerability.
I admire and am envious of her lovely way about her, that is hard to describe, but unique only to her.
If TrueBlue were to leave, then I would too. It's just nice knowing that she is here, even when she is at work.
I joined DS in September of 2010. I needed and wanted to talk with people who deal with depression and anxiety in their own life.
You see, RL family and friends understand to some extent, but one has to go through mental illness to understand what life is like living with depression/anxiety.
First I would like to express my appreciation to the universe for allowing me to get through this rough path that began again in September. It's been difficult but I have so much faith and I am coming along on this journey. Thank you Universe for giving me the strength and courage I need; for opening up my heart to love for myself and for others; and for showing me I am not alone on this wellness journey.
Secondly, I would like to give my appreciation to all the wonderful, insightful, caring and supportive people on DS. You see, even when you are helping someone else, you are helping me, also.
We are all different and unique, yet we can understand and
relate, care and support each other. Connecting with others here has truly taken away the feeling of being alone; for this, I am thankful and grateful and have so much appreciation for all of you.
Thirdly, I would like to extend my appreciation to all my friends here for the hugs, love, support and well wishes. I am so fortunate to have you as friends (((((((( much love)))))))))
and, i adore my gal pals that are moms, daughters, sisters.
and there's a few men that i have been able to become friends with, and they have personality. and much to my surprise, they, men can be intelligent, helpful, and also feel pain...i didn't know this before joining this forum.
I appreciate anyone who takes the time to be genuinely kind! (That would be most of you!)
And I especially appreciate Kaino and winny. Without their sense of humor, I fear it would have taken a lot longer to learn how to smile again.
Also the new members that are coming here and beginning their journey here at DS.They give me hope and inspiration also......
The friends that i have lost over the past years here that have decided to go on and live with the Angels.........I still love them with all of my heart and always will........
Great post my friend.....You are one of the dear ones that have helped me out through thick and thin even when we agreed to disagree.
I love you all.
