I saw the movie twice and liked it better the second time around. It had a lot of action, but it didn't feel like the old familiar characters I am used to seeing. All in all, I would buy the movie.

The movie was enjoyable but being a fan of the original series, I couldn't accept Chris Pine as Kirk. He tried hard but William Shatner made the character his own.

I saw the movie the other night. It was pretty sweet. But I'm pretty sure that real Trekkies will hate it LoL

I don't hate it but wouldn't have chose Chris Pines as Kirk.

i watched the series religiously when i was a kid, the first movies were ok, but this new one by abhams is best so far, i see many sequels in the future

Loved the latest but don't buy a lot of videos. I watch the series when I get a chance on tv, especially the original ones.. there's something about bad props made with a limited budget that just trips my happy switch.

I never seen the video yet, it has been built up so much that it has better live up to the hype or I will be horribly disappointed. I love Star Trek and tend to have my own expectations of the video.

I wrote a whole review on my facebook. I waited a long time before I watched it and while they changed ALOT and made quite a few mistakes in terms of what would happen in an alternate universe (for instance, Kirk had an older brother....so where was he?). I think they got the spirit, especially with Bones chasing Kirk around....and Bones calling Spock a pointy eared hobgoblin.

I might add it to my collection someday, but it's not a priority and I don't consider it canon. It's like the novels....just an alternate reality with no effect on the "real" Trek-verse.

I've got it. It was allright but I don't think I'd buy the dvd when I can copy it for 20 cents!

I havent seen the movie but I have always enjoyed the star trek movies and tv shows a lot over the years. I have also enjoyed the star war movies too
