I'm estrangesd from my Mom and really don't want anything too with my family, long story. But this is whats happening, my nieces bitrhday is today 23 she lived with me from 13-16 when things were really rough for her. So they are havinga a birthday dinner for her on Sunday, she really wants me there, the anxiety is just really starting to kick into high gear.
So my questions is What are some good ways todeal with it?
Thanks

I think if you tell yourself that you can leave whenever you like, that will help a lot because you'll know that you won't feel trapped. The obligation of having to be somewhere adds an unnecessary burden that needn't be there. So, even if you're there for 10 minutes, that will more than make her day. You can always say you feel unwell if it gets too much and go home. But just getting there and staying for any length of time will make you feel so much better than not going.

I would tell my neice that I can't make the party; but, could you take/make her to lunch or dinner for her birthday.

As for the anxiety, deep breathing exercises always help me. Breathe deep, hold release until you feel better.

OMG just when you think your stress can't get worse, My son decides to throw a temper tantrum he's 15. I smacked the brat with a slipper he threw across the room. I don't know I just don't know I think I need a break..

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
