Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Keep reaching out for support and working to get through it. That is what keeps me going.
Gentle ((hugs)) Patricia
it sure can feel like it some days
remember, there is a good and a bad side to everything that ever happens, weather you can see the good in it or not.
try this.. its very hard to start but if you keep at it, it'll become habit...
every time you look at something, and see the bad in it... FORCE yourself to see two good points about it.
yes, its a shame that that cute baby gazelle got eaten by the lions... but the lions get to live, and the rest of the gazelle herd wont starve to death trying to feed that baby.
(maybe thats a poor example but i hope you get the idea)
your focus determines your reality. focus on more of the good, and you will feel better (eventually)
Seriously, though, if you are not seeing the good things in your life, you may not be looking hard enough. I can relate to you, though. I used to feel this way A LOT. But people here, and therapy, and medication, and plenty of contact with healthy and healing folks really straightened me out. If you keep coming back, you will see it happen for you. Glad you are here with the rest of us helping healers.
