Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I've never done this before--posted about my problems, where I'm at in life or mentally. I've always just kept things to myself and made sure everyone else was ok. I'm a helper. A fixer--I fix everyone else and their problems, never dealing with my own. I'm 19, broke, and recently homeless. My parents kicked me out 4 days ago after my mom went through my ipad and found pictures I had sent to an ex. *insert eye roll here* I come from a very strict family, my parents are the hilecopter parents--the ones that need an itenerary and a contact list whenever you go out. My mom actually tracks our cell phones. So, when she saw the pictures obviously she confronted me and we got into an argument which ultimately resulted in her telling me to "get the f*ck out". I have no job. No place to live--I've been sleeping in my car. I'm not a very outgoing person so I've never really had a lot of friends, ha right about now I'm wishing I had gone out more and met more people. I feel like I've been tossed in the ocean and told to figure it out--not to drown. But I'm drowning. I'm scared and I'm alone and I don't know what happens next or where to go from here. One day I wake up to do chores with my mom (I grew up on a farm and ranch) and by noon I'm packing my things, trying to find a place to live, paying for a phone, car, insurance--car and health. I'm trying to sell almost everything I can. I'd sell my car if it weren't my home for the time being. Today was the first day I really reacted to how I'm feeling. I hopped in the shower at this truck stop (it wasn't that bad--it was pretty clean I was impressed) and just started crying and I couldn't seem to stop. I have a job interview later today so fingers crossed.

Hi All.... It's great to see all of the new people joining the site... I'm loving it!!...smileI'm not sure if people are aware that if you don't have Bipolar Disorder but have a loved one who has the disorder we do have a board for people to go to in order to share their experiences and seek friendship, support or adviseIt's the Friends and Family of Bipolar Board.... I hope you'll take a...
I hope you will be okay and get the job.....
May seem VERY odd ... but what comes to mind for you is the Military. They will offer and provide EVERYTHING you need. Can't hurt to just talk to a recruiter.
Ranchers/Farmers usually keep in contact with/or are neighborly with other local Ranches....are there any around your area that would give you work for a place to stay? Or maybe have a bunkhouse you could rent a room out of fairly cheap once you get a job?
And your mum didn't want that for you
And you didn't take the telling off???
Because you want to behave like that???
Well now is the path of acceptance... You didn't want the care of your parents, who wanted to protect you from what a nasty place this actually is
And now your in the shit
Wouldn't you rather go home admit you were wrong and hope they take you back!?
If not then look on the bright side
You have a car, that's awesome that will keep you safe
DON'T SHARE IT WITH ANY MAN
regardless of how homeless he is and how I'm need of comfort you are
Go join a church or support group. Maybe a twelve step fellowship, keep your business to yourself it's nobodies business. Last thing you need is for people to know your upset and homeless.. That means your vulnerable and the only interest your gonna attract with that status is sharks
Great news on the job front, keeping going till you get one.
Next step find a place to live
Probably best to live in a shared house with women only, perhaps one with some single cynical bird in her forties who will mother hen you and have your back
Once that's sorted get used to paying your bills, no extravagant luxuries until you know what's left
This is where you realise that you probably have nothing left for fun things
Accept it
Cups of tea and chatting is actually quite fun
Keep your eye out for some kind guy with a great job to move in with
Seduce him
New lush home, loving partner
Have babies
Realise how hard babies are, come to understand your parents better,
Have more appreciation for their caring rules and money spent on paying for you
Finally have a better relationship with parents
Continue doing fun stuff until you die
Sorted!!!
