Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Im reading this wonderful book right now, Gift From the Sea.
One of the author's points is rather amazing: We can't truly blossom, grow, or progress without understanding the power of solitude and exploring ourselves--our desires, our strengths, our feelings and thoughts.
I think society has carved a negative connotation into the word, 'alone.' Being by yourself or single is too often looked down upon. Which is sad, because it's actually a rather powerful state to be in if you allow it.
You can always go to events, clubs, groups and gatherings of your liking and meet people there. Give someone a compliment and strike up a conversation that way. Im personally getting a cat soon to alleviate some of the loneliness I feel at home.
I'd recommend owning being alone at times. Take a pause to think about things that you like about yourself, that you want to do, that you aspire to be.
Remember that we're here for you in this support group and we love hearing your thoughts and feelings! Be kind to yourself and take your time with life :)
