I've given up all hope at this point in my life. I'm feeling so hopeless. I want to cut my body so that I can feel better. I've given up on life. I feel like the world would be better off without me. It's like I can't breathe, like I'm so misunderstood. Nobody in my life understands what I go through every single day. I refuse to take my meds because I don't want to be this crazy person who's taking meds for depression.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. You are a person in pain. You are not as alone in that as you think. (You've got a lot of company actually.) You want to stop being a person in pain, but the answer is not to stop being a person. Yes, the pain presses in so, on the chest, in the bones, that it tricks us into believing that it's part of us. But fear lies; it will say anything to get your attention. The pain is not you; it is just a symptom. Let it be treated. The world is better off WITH you, but your world would be better of without the pain. It can be managed.

So many here are dealing with mental health issues as well as sex addiction. It is good you have written how you are feeling. Your medication will help so please take it. You are not 'some crazy person' you are someone who has a chemical imbalance in your body which needs a hand to make your body work better. If a person as diabetes, do we call them a crazy person?
It sounds like you really need this medication as you are not well without it. I have to take medication twice a day for Bipolar. I am so glad I do because it helps me be well and live life. It also keeps me safe.
Please keep yourself safe. Talk to your doctor if the medication does not seem right. There are other therapies which can help with depression but I have them in combination with medication.
Are you also having problems with pornography or sex addiction because this has tipped me into terrible mental health problems too. I have joined a 12 step program for that and as I am recovering, my mental health is improving too.
Come back and tell us how you are getting on.
HAVE NOT SEEN ANY FURTHER MESSAGES FROM YOU.
