Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I need to do this today so I think it's only fair that I give everyone else a chance to do this too.
This is another of the leave-your-vents-here posts that have been inspired by what Summerwind81 has done from time to time. You can either have a minor bone to pick or a major beef...drop it off here if you must.
I'll go first, like last time:
My mother had been planning to have a good size catch-all family celebration (she was hoping to have 8 of us together) this weekend, because it would be easier than trying to have three separate celebrations.
A couple of days ago, those plans fell through, and there are no good dates left that will accomodate everyone. The celebration will still come off -- it will be a week from tonight, and the birthday people will all be involved -- but it won't be as big as we wanted, and I can tell my mother isn't happy about that. Since I don't see my siblings much these days, neither am I, and it doesn't matter that I don't feel very close to them.
Now it's your turn.

Mine is sadness because my brother is in the hospital.. He is dying from heart disease.. He has a wonderful family and grandchildren that love him so much along with the rest of us.. My father died from this.. Im sad...
I'm suffocating living with my elderly parents, i love em and all that, but it would be nice to feel like a proper family, just me, the other half and my son, in our own home.

JP, that sux. I wonder if just a Few of you might be able to make it happen?
Where to begin ... in the Spring I got two new wheel bearings on my truck. About a month later one of them went bad (brand new bearing). In the process, my new brake pads and new rotor got screwed up from the chuncks of metal. After I paid for the replacement parts and work, that same tire almost came off my truck because the nuts were not tight enough. This broke two lug bolts, and now my nice chrome rim is shot. I put on my old winter rims, but the brake pedal started bouncing at a near stop. Afer a lot of work and time I find last night one of the NEW pads is Cracked in the Middle! I put on new ones, and it's better, but still bouncing a little. It Might be the OTHER new bearing. I am SO pissed off!!!!! New parts should NOT bring this much grief!!!!!
I won't even go into the fight I had with my mom last weekend ...............

I have to agree with bistro since I don't know what else to say. You'll get one eventually!
@ bistro: We're making do with the people whose birthdays we intended to celebrate, we just wanted more than that.
And car parts absolutely should NOT give you as much grief as they have there. Is exchanging those parts still a possibility for you? (((((((((( Bistro ))))))))))
