I feel a bit Scroogish, but I feel so much lighter today. Christmas is always so hard for me. I am weird to be relieved it is over and done for another year? Just wondering if anyone else feels that way?

I think that the great rush of Christmas, the busyness of it all and then the materialism and the rush to shop turns into an intense quiet day and everyone opens their presents and BOOM all of the sudden its over.

The Holiday Season causes problems for a lot of people and the mental health system, the faith communities (all of them, not just Christian), the inner cities and other community institutions do not address this issue of being alone, being isolated, of dealing with pains of the past and of needing to being around others. The humanity of community is grossly neglected.

We as an entire society really need to take a good look at ourselves and straighten this mess out. Seriously.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, as am I, now that this is behind us.
My plan is to celebrate with a shower and fresh pjs, since I have been wearing thes since before my pre-Christmas funk.

Thank you all. It always makes me feel ugly that I do not enjoy Christmas. I read all the time that others feel that way, but no one ever admits it so I still feel like it is just me.

Maybe I need a support group called the Bah Humbugs :)
