Technology can be so frustrating it can make you want to take a ball bat to your computer or phone. I actually did bust my last phone all to pieces with a hammer. It felt great after all the problems I had with it

I don't think it is the computer, it is my feeble old fingers on this Windows 7 laptop. I used a desktop with Windowxp for many years. I am much older now, and less patient.

I have had similar experiences with my computer. My best guess is changing to Windows 10. My computer sometimes wants to return to Windows 8 (ugh). I am an illiterate in the tech area.

Is it not so annoying to be halfway through writing a post or comment just to have it go "poof" on you? I empathize.

Sometimes I just open a word document and type my reply there then copy/paste it to the board.

I have a google chromebook that is a few years old. It freezes up alot. Very frustrating. I shut it down and tap on the bottom. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

This thing did crash on me a couple weeks ago when I tried to go into a job search website. It took 4 hours for me to get it to come up again. Was almost like someone had hijacked me. I'd get it up then it would just shut down again It is working ok now, but I have not been back to that site.

I became the victim in another car wreck today. Some twentysomething young fella, sunglasses on a cloudy day and cap on sideways, ran a red light and plowed into my drivers side front fender, dented the bumper and busted out the headlight.

PTL I was not injured and the investigating officer told me he does have.

It just seems so unfair that I have to take care of the crappy details while I try to hold down a job. I have to get an estimate for the repairs,, deal with the insurance company, and get a rental vehicle. (There are no car rental places where I live. The last time this happened to me I rented a U-Haul to get wheels under me til insurance settled and that car was totaled.) They may want to total this old car too.

It is just not fair, but something like this has happened to me every month for the last three years.

I am guessing you're losing data because your mouse pad is still switched on. If you can get a wireless mouse, you can turn your laptop mousepad off, and that means your hands and wrists won't suddenly highlight and erase giant wads of typing.

Sorry to hear about the wreck. I'm glad you're okay. i can relate to having to try to take care of all that mumbo jumbo with the insurance companies and having to get a rental. Why can't life just be easier sometimes, why does it have to be one thing after another?
