I haven't owned a swimsuit since I was about 10 years old, and I haven't been swimming since I was 17. I'm trying to convince myself that it doesn't matter what other people think of how you look, but it's a helluva lot easier said than done.

hmmm, used to have a swimsuit somewhere! i spend all summer in what I call "nakedwear" - a bikini top from WalMart's clearance rack and a sarong tied around the bottom -swimming is a nudie thing!

summer is just around the corner and cannot even think of getting the courage to go at try those things on....
oh, well will sit at the pool or beach in the ususal shorts and tee...

Thank goodness for capris! You can still be cool in the summer, without showing off your white chicken legs. rofl!

I've decided I don't care about swimsuits this year just gonna find a nude beach and let it all hang out. LOL........and believe me there's alot to hang out. LOL I'm in one of those moods if you don't wanna see it look away. LOL I can hear my hubby voice in my head as I type this saying "Yeah right You won't even walk across the bedroom naked" LOL

IF you had the body would you wear a thong to the beach?

Barbara, I would not wear a thong if I had the body just because it would HUMILIATE my children...especially my 11 year old son!

Speaking of humiliation, just went swimsuit shopping with my daughter. Now I have a reasonably good body image, I tak care of myself, look good al things considered. The positive self etsteem went flying out the dressing room door as soon as she started trying the suits on. Nothing like a 5'6" 97 lb 14 year old girl who works out 5 days a week to make you feel like crap about yourself! Did I mention her legs are up to her chin? Doesn't matter what I buy, even in a thong ain't no one going to be looking at me!

I reckon if the shops were smart and got those 'skinny mirrors' they's sell a lot more swimsuits.

my daughter just turned 12 last week and already going into a C cup...just following in her mom's way
and NO I don't like thongs either, just thought it's be funny for us to laugh at something really outrageous today, and talking of the b-suits, well it just seemed to fit!

how do women WEAR those things? do you know, I actually have seen kotex pads made to wear with thongs?? how gross is that?

I wear them under my clothes, no problem there, just wouldn't wear them so the world could see. For me, I happen to have a pathological hatred of panty lines! Maybe I should see someone and find out why? Could you imagine what a pschyotherapist sould do with that one? lol
