A shell...

When one has no hope an no will to continue on, they are essentially dead..they are a shell of themselves..
It's like a building that has four finished exterior facades and nothing but empty space inside; no walls, furnishings, or finishes - just a void empty space...
My insides are decomposing in a similar fashion; just my exterior remains relatively unchanged although people see the saddness in my face, they have no concept of the depths of my despair..
I have already lost hope and my will is slowly disintegrating...

This empty shell is just a space where the good stuff is poised to rush in. It is actually a condition of possibility. Good possibility. How good do you want it to be? Are you willing? Just a tiny amount of willingness to believe will trip the floodgate, and the bitter emptiness will be replaced by the better of loving community. We are here for you. Are you even a little bit willing to be here for yourself?

If so, a miracle is at the threshold. Peace for your Spirit!

You know I fully understand what you are saying, at the same time, I see that empty "shell" as a place that just once, today, you can find something positive to put in it.....even a smile/hug from your precious son would be a +, everyday I fight tooth and nail to find even one little thing to put into my own shell, not an easy task but if I fight hard enough, I can find at least one thing.
Lots of times, it's just my dog giving me one of her nutty "smiles", another time, the goofy cat nipping my leg for a treat, silly stuff I know, but it's better than the usual crap I fill myself with.

Please don't go into your "tomorrows", that'll just ruin any chance of your today....yes, I am practicing what I preach in spite of......
