Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Hello. Those who have been following my postings know that I have been feeling really sad and depressed, especially after I lost my job. Though my job was in fact one of the sources of my depression, at least I had income and something to do, even though some of my isolation is related to what the job was doing to me.
Anyway, I have been feeling devastated for having so many loses in the past year, and recently after coming from a retreat I felt very depressed and overwhelmed by coming back to the same sadness.
So yesterday, out of nowhere, I was just flipping TV channels and my cell phone rang. It was a company I applied for a job last year in August. I had a great interview and felt very welcome by the people who interviewed me. After that I didn't get the job but got a courtesy call stating that they like my work and will keep me in mind for the future. Well, "the future" was yesterday when they called me to ask me if I would be interested in working for them.
MIRACLE!!!! Of course I said yes, trying not to sound too disparate. I told them that I can start in a few weeks (I can start immediately, but didn't want to scare them by being too available).
So not only I have a new job, it's a job I didn't even apply to recently. And I will be making thousands of dollars more a year than in the job I just lost.
I have a horrendous career path; to me this is a big deal. I feel less depressed, more hopeful and enjoying having something to look forward to.
I want to share this with you since many of you have been so kind and supportive. I was feeling really very depressed and sad, and with this good news I feel better, but most important, I feel useful, appreciated and valued unlike in my previous job where I was treated like a pest no matter how hard I tried to be liked.
Thank you for your support.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Really great news!
1. People will forget what you said
people will forget what you did
but they will never forget how you made them feel.
You must have left a very good impression!!! So happy for you!
Hugs GB
Thank you so very much for sharing this with all of us!
