Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I have been off this board for about three months. In that period of time, I was doing very well. I'm still a lot better then I was, but have been dealing with over sleeping. I sleep on average 11 hours at night and then feel compelled to take a 2 hour long nap during the afternoon. I do not know how to break this cycle and even if I am not tired, I feel great anxiety if I do not nap or sleep late. I think a lot of it has to do with boredom and trying to escape depression and anxiety.
I just started writing music after not having anything to do with music for 7 years. Obviously, I am beating myself over it after receiving a lot of negative comments about my music on www.garageband.com. Once I was writing all of these songs, and now it is hard as hell for me to continue writing, although I still do but at a snail's pace. You can hear my music at www.garageband.com/germanautumn or www.myspace.co/germanautumn.
I am still going down on my medicine in preparation for trying to have a child. I am down to .5 mg of Klonopin a day, and am shocked that I haven't been having panic attacks. It really does turn out that drinking is what was causing them, as I haven't had a serious attack since I stopped drinking 2 years ago.
Although I do some graphic design at home, I have been without a job for 2 years now, which makes me feel rather useless. I apply for jobs every now and then, but I am truly afraid that I will start having panic attacks again if I start working. Then again, I am so bored at home I need to find something to do. I really want to get back into Ninjutsu, but not only can I not afford it, but my husband doesn't like the idea of me grappling with grown men. I left my old dojo because my sensei was sexually harassing me, so I don't blame him for being worried. Still, it drives me nuts that I am not still studying Ninjutsu. I suppose I could study Tai Chi or Tae Kwon Do, but it is NOTHING like Ninjutsu.
So, how has everyone else here been doing?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
*6ft 180pd man raising 5ft 1in 108pd female over head and dropping her*
Yeah, we grappled according to rank, not size *eye roll*
Come to think of it, being dropped on my back repeatedly is how I ended up fracturing my back...
Got some pictures of me with weapons though. They were my specialty :)
Be careful... be very very careful.. when you get older you may really regret it..
welcome back to the site! i hope i get a chance to get to know you better...
All the best in the months to come.
