Well, I definitely have no expertise, but it seems possible. I was on Wellbutrin for over a year and those are all well established effects of the drug for many people that take it. I also experienced appetite suppression and being more alert (although for me that meant agitation and anxiety) especially at higher doses. I noticed those effects more after being bumped up to 150mg a day from 100, and had started previously to that around 50 I think.

Every time I start a new med I'm usually advised that I should see a difference in 2-4 weeks (if it works). Those are almost all SSRIs though. Wellbutrin isn't an SSRI, so it's possible that the time frame is different because it works differently on a chemical level. That's just a theory though, I've checked the drug information and nothing seems say when the average patient notices a difference.

It might just be placebo effect. I didn't even get the side effect of taking Wellbutrin for about a week, let alone any positive benefits (after a few weeks). My side effect was a 6 day headache.
