Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I have fought that situation, sometimes we just have to settle for a few days of existing before we can start to live again.
Gentle hugs
Gramybear...in response to your question - i just don't enjoy anything at all about life-nothing...it's like I.AM the walking dead...I went to my neice's birthday party in July...I just sat there...thinking about how I had no feelings-nothing...just there...then...I try to go to church - and instead of feeling peaceful, like I used to...I feel nothing but anxiety...and I get fidgety and can't wait till we get out...and then I have to recuperate from being around people for days...at home, I am fine if I am home alone...but if I go somewhere or in the evenings when my husband is home...it's the same feeling - nothing...I have no ambition, no purpose, no drive...I don't really care about anything or anyone and no one cares about me...I just have absolutely no reason for living - I don't enjoy life...at all...it's basically just a reminder of what a waste of life I am...and I am so tired...tired of trying to get through life...tired of going through the motions...tired tired tired...and I just believe it would be better to die,
I wonder if you have any old passions or things that ever have you any amount of happiness that you can rediscover.
Many hugs, friend.
Actually I do...and I am trying but I honestly do not find any interest in them anymore...it's kinda of like I wrote in my other post yesterday about Regression - I want to go back to the way it was so long ago, but of course realistically speaking - I can't...and to do them today...well I just can't find the strength to do that either....and it's not for a lack of trying either. ...
If I may ask...who told you had those conditions? I've researched them, and been told by friends/family that I may/may not have them...and my therapist has suggested I see a psychiatrist...but I have love/hate relationship with doctors and know myself well enough to know that I won't listen to them or do what they say. So...I was just wondering.
Thanks again. -DR
