I'm sorry you are so scared hon. Maybe ease into things slowly?

Therapists are NOT surprised to find out that a patient has not told them the whole story at first. Nor do they consider it lying when they find out that the real story is different from what was first presented. Therapy is about getting to the truth, and that is a process. The more trust is developed, the more truth comes out.
I know you can do this, and it WILL help you feel better.
how do i tell her, just straight up and tell her i've been lying/ holding things back, sugar coating?
Sure ... why not? Not being completely forthcoming with a therapist is cheating yourself ... compromising the whole idea of seeing a therapist in the first place.
i dnt necessarily have to tell her that ive been holding back...i could just continue and tell her the stuff i left out and tell her how i feel, how ashamed and embarrased i feel...is that good?
