Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I mean the following as kindly as possible:
If you do nothing .. nothing will happen. You list several things in your post you could do to improve your situation .. also on your profile page.
{{{hugs}}}
I had to change to a new antidepressanr cause the one I was on wasn't working anymore. This new one causes insomnia but I feel so much better. Meds really can help.

Like they tell you in airplanes...put the oxygen mask on yourself FIRST, so then you can help others. So we have to take care of ourselves FIRST and then see what we can do for other people.
recovering from this last asthma attack is really making things worse
First, shower.
Then, exercise. Walk around the block.
Then, shower again.
You'll be amazed what those simple acts can do to restore some semblence of caring, and feeling human again!
I still feel the same way as when I posted this discussion...
the oxygen mask reply really got to me though...maybe - just maybe I'll go take an airplane ride somewhere - don't know where...but just somewhere
just to get that experience...
haven't been on an airplane in a very long time...
I think step by step, by fixing what you think is the problem, you'll get better. Having no job and purpose is difficult to fix right away but If you start with taking a shower and treating yourself to relaxing in a bath or something you'll begin to feel a little better. Blast your favourite music and clean what you need to and then talk to a friend or family member about getting a job or helping around for money.
I really hope you find your happiness.
Hang in there.
If you can do it, anyone can.
