I've never been on cymbalta, but I have been on antidepressants that pooped out on me before. It could be that your dosage needs adjusting, or that you could use another added medication to boost its effect. I would definitely consider talking with your psychiatrist about what you are experiencing.

I was on Celexa for about a year than had an unrelated heart event that required that I go off all antidepressants for quite some time. After going back to celexa, at a smaller dose for about three months I have noticed a good effect now followed by a decrease effect. It still helps but not as much. I am frustrated by only having a psychiatrist after these three months. I want to see a counselor as well so that my mental and spiritual sides get the attention that they deserve as well. I am hoping that talk therapy will be the missing piece that will help me to adjust better to my anxiety and depression. The psychiatrist specializes in the organic component of your mental health... please don't discount the value of counseling as well to address intellectual, emotional as well as spiritual needs.
