My parents came for a visit over the long weekend - they are on their way back to the airport now. Went up to the mountains on Saturday and it was my dad's first time ever skiing on a real mountain - he had a blast!! (I did too!) It was an awesome time minus the part where I may have fractured my wrist. A fell awkwardly on it snowboarding on Saturday but thought it was just sprained.. then Sunday and Monday the swelling and pain got progressively worse so I went for an xray Mon night. It came back inconclusive b/c of too much swelling so they put a temporary half cast on to immobilize my thumb and wrist and I go back in ten days for another xray. The only shitty part is that it's my right hand and I am right handed... and being a student...... you get the picture. I'm sure I can probably borrow a recording device from disability services tho until my wrist heals and I can begin taking notes again by hand.

Also, I have decided to run in our upcoming student elections as a faculty rep so that is quite exciting / nerve-wracking as well :)
