Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Im sorry about your loss
I dont know what it means to lose a father but Ive lost some close relatives of mine in the past years , I know its painful but you should try not to let it become suffer , seems like it already became
but you can fight back and be able to overcome your depression
I know you may have heard all the nice/comforting and encouraging things since you lost him but perhaps you never felt they helped you because you didnt allow them to become reasons for you to search for all you need
medication is not the solution , itll only drag the problem on and on , you need to first work with yourself in order to know what really has been growing inside you and how you can get rid of them , losing your dad influenced you to be where you are now but its not the whole source
if youd be willing to take a look at a good source : http://www.journeytoyourendless.blogspot.com
hope it will help you actually see that you can overcome your depression , not by caring less about your fathers death but by being wise enough to care without suffer and to go on with your life towards a better future
take care
I wish you recover soon
of my own dad and it was many, many years ago.
Your medication can only do so much,,IMO only, talking with others that know what it's like is very important as well.
If you haven't already, may I gently suggest contacting your local
Hospice? They would be listed in your local phone book or you can find them online.
DS also has a bereavement group if you didn't know about them..
here's the link for them:

There's no "right or wrong" way to deal with this kind of pain and there's no "timeframe" for how long it takes to come to terms with it.
Each of us copes in our own way and in our own time but we don't have to go it alone.
I hope you will look into these possible resources to find others who will genuinely understand and help you.
You are not alone
