Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
That's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better - There are times when people disappoint you & let you down.
But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments &
opinions - to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.
There will be challenges to face & changes to make in your life - & it is up to you to accept them.
Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you - It may not be easy at times - but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are.
So when the days come that are filled with frustration & unexpected responsibilities - remember to believe in yourself & all you want your life to be.
Because the challenges & changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.
Keep Believing in Yourself.

For me, I had to realize why I felt that way (and trust me it's been a really long process to even get to 'maybe I'm not so bad'). I've always believed I was crap, evil, everyone had always hated me and everyone always would, I hated myself most of all, so why would anyone else ever think different. I realized that I felt this way/believed these things, because of the way the people who raised me treated me. They treated me like I was scum (for the most part, they did have good moments like everyone) since before I was old enough to have ever done anything to deserve it. So I thought, I must have been born evil.
Then I had to start using logic. I don't believe anyone is born evil. I don't believe children deserve to be treated poorly, even if they are naughty more often than not. And yet I was holding myself to these extreme beliefs that go against what I believe for others.
I had to realize that the way I was thinking; the way I was talking to myself, was the way these people treated me. I hated the way they treated me, but I was doing it to myself every moment of every day. That is when I started changing. I didn't want to be like them. I don't like to crush people's dreams, I'd rather build them up. So I started trying that with myself. Started trying to see the evidence for the good in me, like I did with the bad. I figured, I may be evil, but why not give myself the benefit of the doubt, if it turns out I really am evil, well, I already treat myself that way, so nothing would be different. It was excruciatingly hard, but that's how it started for me.
Also, I am a complete dork/freak. I've tried changing that. I've tried acting 'normal'. I've tried not talking so people wouldn't know. But I hated it. And that led me to several massive rock bottoms. Now, I have accepted I can't change that. I like to talk a lot. I like to talk about silly things and I love TV shows. That's just me. I don't fit in with the people I've been surrounded by, but I don't want to. Those are the same people who tear everyone down constantly. They hate their lives, and they hate themselves. I don't want to be like that. And I've found one person who likes me, even though I'm a freak. And if one person is similar to me, there must be others. So I say, as long as your 'freak' doesn't harm anyone else (I mean like murdering people or actual torture of the mind or body) embrace it.
Obviously I don't know your situation well enough to know if any of what I said may be useful or apply in your situation. But what you wrote, it feels like something I could have written. So I just wanted to share how I've been dealing, and hope it might be of some use. If not, disregard it. But I hope it might have helped a little. I believe everyone deserves to feel good about who they are, and deserves to be treated with respect, especially by themselves :)
Good luck!
