Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I have had depression as long as I remember. I recently started taking my meds again. But it just doesn't seem like anything is good in my life. I am looking for a job because I just got out of college, I moved back home with not many friends living too close, and me and my boyfriend of 2 yrs broke up. Sometimes I wake up and just want to cry.

I'm sorry things are so difficult right now. Try to take things day by day and find whatever joy you can in each day. Gradually things can get better. ((hugs))

hugs.... life transitions are always somewhat hard, and made harder by depression. You can and will get through this. I am guessing you felt similar when you left for school originally.

You have to stay strong. Give meds a chance to work. You are going through a lot of changes right now and it can be scary. Just know you've come along way and there is more to go.

Everyone is right, do not give up on your meds. They will start working eventually and will help with your pain. (((HUGS))) Hope things start looking up for you. I too wake up and want to cry before my day has even begun. You are not alone.
