Hello everyone I have not posted here In awhile I have had alot going on. 3 weeeks ago my grandma passed away I have been really. depressed since she passed I don't have many friends to hang out with So I just mainly. stay at home. with my parents I really. wish that I had some friends to hang out with The friends that I do have they live to far away Every year around the hoidays I get really. depressed.

You can hang out with us. We understand where you come from. Or, we would not be posting and replying on a depression forum. But not just any depression forum; the rockinest, rootin tootinest, most supportive depression community anywhere on line. No brag, just fact. Glad you resumed your participation. When we all participate, we all get better!!!!

Thanks I just feel so loney and down around the hoidays Like this year my friend carla is having a birthday paprty for her daughter. But I can't go cause my parents said that its too far away. and thier afriad that I might get hurt I told them That I won't get hurt But they still won't let me go Its making me so deporessed Its not fair that All of my friends get to have fun and go places and do fun things I never get to Wish I could just be Happy. and not depressed

Sorry to hear you're feeling so lonely...is there any way your parents would let you go to your friends' party, like if another friend went with you or something? Isolation is the worst, it just makes depression and pretty much everything feel even worse than they are. I hope you can find a way to be more social...have you tried sites like meetup or maybe volunteering? Just some ideas. Wishing you peace

The holidays really make it hard on people with depression, especially if there is more then just the holidays going on. Once you get to know us, we are pretty darn good company so feel free to vent, cry, whatever you need to do to get by. We will be here for you. hugs

Couldn't agree more. Holidays are very hard on people with depression. My mother is the same way, and now as of this year I seem to be no different. But, we are all here for each other.

Thanks Everyone I Have told my mom how. bad that I want to go to the Party But Shes worried about me going This Friend has told several of her guy friends that I am single She even gave one guy My cell number plus my home. Address My parents no longer let me stay home alone. because thier afraid that this guy may come and try to hurt me I understand that thier trying. to protect me but its so hard to stay postive When I am not able to get out and have fun Like my friends I need to make new friends but its hard for me to do that Because. of past. abuse

I agree with BobCJ. You are welcome to hang out with us. Since joining the "club", I am not nearly as depressed. Everyone offers time, advice and wholeheartly shares a little of themselves which I find extremely rewarding. Also the people are so nice. We have this common bond that gives us greater insight. Feel free to friend me.
