Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I know what you feel. It is sad! And you feel even worth when you see your kids around you and you should be so glad that they are there, that they are in good shape ... and you just feel so miserable.
I am trying to cope with it by letting go a little and not to worry too much. I also, like you, drown in activities and cannot organize myself. Or I do it a little and then I loose the drive I am trying now to accept this a little. And to do things little by little.
And I am trying to plan something ahead which makes me happy. For example, I have planned a trip to Paris in four weeks (I live in France) and see lots of art and museums and and... Every time now when I am feeling down I try to think of my trip and it makes it a bit less black.
Perhaps this could be good for you, too?
All the best!!!
I am in the process of trying to fix my life and I don't think I will be able to but I want to not have a single doubt if I have to die... I don't want to have to think I should have done this or tried that... I want to know I did all I could and just couldn't fix things... still I am hoping I am wrong and can fix things...
I always plan to do more then I end up doing... try to rest but only sit and worry... try to do things and get nowhere and wish I was resting lol I just try to do what I can because even the smallest thing is something to mark of the list. To Do Lists help... make a list of everything you need to do and then just pick something to do off the list and make sure you finish it before you start something else so when you are done you can mark it off the list... as you see the list getting shorter you'll feel better... right now I have so many things I that have to be solved right now that its hard to just focus on one but with the every day stuff I try to just do one thing at a time
I've been where you are & it's a horrible feeling. But I've also seen the flip side. I'm hoping you'll see it soon too.
In the meantime, know that you are not alone. Keep breathing.
