Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Some of you here might already know that I don't like to post about myself. I would rather help others and tell my problems to my husband. But I just had to share something good that just happened. It's always good to hear that success stories.
I was getting very stressed out about some paper work that needs to be done by Tuesday. It's pretty lengthy and involves writing an essay among, getting forms filled out by doctors, and other things. Well, it was getting really bad. I was spiraling down further and further, hating myself, feeling worthless and yes even was starting to feel suicidal.
Feeling suicidal over something like paper work may sound ridiculous to some people but for me I can go off the deep end over just about anything. Well, I actually came out of it and am okay now. This is an absolute miracle as I can stay stuck in the hole for months and even years feeling hopeless and suicidal. This time it only lasted a few hours and even though I still have a lot to do on this paper work I feel better about it. Also I can turn it in any time. The woman is coming Tuesday but I will just give her what I have for now and ask a lot of questions!
Thanks everyone for being here for me and for each other. This is a great place!

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

or do I? Actually, the bit I really truly hate is dragging it out of the cupboard, plugging it in, turning it on and coping with the noise. Once it's going, I can vacuum quite happily till it's all done.
So it's not the vacuuming I hate. And knowing that it's the plugging in and turning on that I hate, I just sort of hold my breath and dive.
I certainly get panic with anything to do with paperwork: and I have to take a deep breath, and blow it out slowly, and just force myself through the first steps. Once I'm into it and doing it, I'm okay. Getting myself arranged so I can start though - that can be a bit of a ritual.
I posted about a moment of paranoia yesterday, but it was only a moment, and I posted it, then was able to forget about it, I am glad to have this place too, you just have to learn when to use the ignore button.
Glad you made it through. I understand that fluster.
