Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Bluemoon...hang in there...it will get better. I returned to old habits to...for a year and gained over 40 lbs. I use food as my coping tool for my depression which then leads to more depression and shame!!
I take klonopin for sleep but began to take it during the day to ease the pain and to refrain from eating the pain away.
These boards can be very comforting esp when our loved ones grow weary of listening to us.
I have a wonderful licensed counselor that I have been seeing for ten years. That may seem like a long time for some, but I see it as an investment in my mental health. I vent to her instead of my friends. Of course, she can be more objective and has education and training to help me deal with the anxiety and depression.
I related to your post I suppose because I am a newbie again myself.
Check in often and I will be thing of you. It helps to know that I am not alone and neither are you!!
