Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.

im not sure what makes people do it but im here if u need 2 talk xx
In fact, I went on medication at the beginning of the summer and sometimes it is so hard to take them. I guess because the depression is something in my head the pills fixing it just doesn't make sense. Besides that, none of them have helped.
Some people are afraid of the side effects. I personally don't like them. The ones I'm on right now make me suicidal. But other side effects I've experienced are nausea, dizziness, insomnia, dry mouth, and confusion.
But I guess you just have to look at yourself and figure out your own reasons. The might be similar to other people's but only you can know why you do it.
