Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
So for the past week I've really been struggling with life in general. I can't bring myself to go to class I can barely get out of bed and to help I've been taking Oxycontin with rockstar. I am not sure what effect this is going to have on me but it feels good and I don't want to stop. I fear that when I run out of pills this week I am going to go crazy. Not sure what to do. My cutting gets deeper every time, I don't feel like eating anymore, I was just put on prozac a week ago and I don't feel any different maybe even a little worse. My anger is getting worse and I just feel like I am slipping. I just want to be high all the time. Any advice would be helpful.

you sound exactly like me, down to the letter. i know what your going through, so i am not going to say some sort of BS about how you just have to wait it out and things will get better. this is life, not some stupid fairy tale (as much as we wish it was at times) but if you want my advice, find someone to help you. it could be a boyfriend, girlfriend, or just regular friend. talk to them. It may not help at all, but they will try to make it their personal goal to help you get better. please try to stay clean, its worth it. this may be a lot to ask , as i am a total stranger, but could you please hold on? For me, and for the hundreds of people who care about you more than you know.

I am trying I am going to counseling and my roommate is here for me but it seems that when I make a little progress it goes to waste and i fall back to where i was before.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
