Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
But trust is a funny thing, since you trusted your yl with something private, she probably will not use it against you, and probably not bring it up unless you do. since you trusted her, she must be a good person. Just think positive thoughts (I know, it is a stupid advice), and go about life like you did before telling her...
-Hugs!-
I hope they don't use it against you, but you must feel close or at least comfortable around them to speak with them. Im sure she wont and like millie said you trusted her so she must be a good person.
Hope you're ok and try to relax, try talking to someone else or one of us on here?
also, she is a youth leader. there is that whole confidentiality(sp) thing. trust is a complicated thing, and if you are like me, which you seem. you worry about telling anyone anything. either because you are scared of allowing someone to see who you truly are, afraid that they will think differently of you or just leave. i am one of those people.
the night i told my boyfriend everything about who i am...i was scared he would end it.
i went way off.
did i make any sense?
oh and one more thing. becoming vulnerable does not mean death...please remember this
