Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
Tell him that. Let him know how important he is to you.
I think its admirable that you want to help him and whilst I understand you miss him and want to revert back to how you were with eachother. You just need to make sure he doesn't take advantage of that, cause well, it sounds like he's using you.
Let him know if he needs serious help you're there for him but if he's just going to contact you for money or something, I think you should just keep your distance. For all you know he could be using the money to fuel an addiction or something, you'd probably be doing him a favour by backing down, even if he doesn't realise it now.
I think that alot of people are like that.. they will be ok 1 minute, then the next minute 1 little thing happens and all your bad memories come flooding back. People can usually see when im happy then i go into my downward sprial. i try so hard to cover it up.. it just doesnt work. and i hate that because some people get so jealous cuz they think im out 2 get attention. but such is life.. people dont understand depression or anything like that until they have gone thru it..
Im here if you need me
Love,
~Katie~
