Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
as for getting over him... just realize he is just a guy, that there are plenty more out there, plenty more that are so much better than him, so much better for u.
just hang with friends, go out and have fun, dont focus on the breakup, focus on having fun. things will get better, i promise.
im here if u wanna talk.
just keep that in mind.
My friends fire the same advice at me every time I have a bad break-up. Some of it's good advice, and some of it's downright terrible advice, but either way, I never took it to heart because I just didn't want to hear it.
"They weren't right for you!" Yeah, but I thought they were perfect.
"You deserve better!" Maybe, but what they think of as "better" isn't what I wanted.
With most people, this advice will just bounce off them uselessly, but I'm going to tell you the same things my best friend told me.
-Keep the radio off. Every time I turned on the radio -wouldn't ya know it?- it was either a song my ex and I shared, or one that was ridiculously sad.
-Keep clean. My standard get-over-it includes either drinking way more than any individual should, or using too many sleeping pills. I'll be honest, while drinking and drugs are great in the moment, when you wake up the next morning you'll feel worse than ever before. Also, I started smoking again after a certain girlfriend dumped me, and there's nothing great about panting during a normal walk to the store. If it's not what you normally would put into your body, keep it that way.
What always helped me was just spending time with my friends and family. My family drives me crazy, but they made for a great distraction while I recovered.
Anything time won't fix, duct tape will. Since duct tape isn't going to help in this case, give it time. Trying to kick back and just forget them is the hardest thing to do alone, so keep your friends close.

"Don't worry about people in your past there's a reason they didn't make it into your future."
It takes time to heal a broken heart, keep in mind what he did to you and let that make you a better person. Don't be afraid to be upset and cry. And you'll meet another guy, there's plenty of them out there.
