Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
I know that God wanted me to share with you. You see I was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease ( which means that I cannot consume gluten what-so-ever; otherwise, I will end up in the ER). I was also diagnosed with IBS.
I used to go on so many diets and none of them worked. I urge you to ask your doctor to check you for Celiac disease. So many people have it and they don't even know it. Also, please read about the affects of gluten on the human body. It can reek havoc throughout your whole body; for example, it can affect your nervous system, which can cause you to feel irritable, moody, etc. Also, ask your doctor to check your thyroid. Make sure to tell them that you need a TSH (Thyroid Stimulation Hormone) test, T3, T4, and Serum ACT. Make sure to tell them; otherwise, they'll only conduct a TSH test, which is not able to detect everything.
Also, sweetie. please trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has the healing power to get you through all this. He is absolutely crazy about you!
God Bless!
