This community is dedicated to spouses, children, relatives, co-workers and others who are actively supporting someone suffering from depression or other serious mental illness. Depression can bring about intense sadness, melancholia or despair that has advanced to the point of being disruptive, which can have a grave impact on the ability of others trying to help.

Well today Mr Depressive pushed too hard and I moved him out permanently.....I believe that his problem (s) are much more than just depression....he moved back in with his emotionally abusive wife that he left after 40 miserable years...he was 4 weeks away from his divorce and marrying me...so...watch out folks...watch out for being too loving, kind and helping too much...i am proud of my behavior but most certainly feel used big time...I will be okay...but this is the first night without the man I truly adored and turned myself inside out for.

you are a strong person, and deserve someone who is "genuine" in his committment to you! Although painful now, you probably saved yourself years of emotional hardship, and uncertainty in your relationship with this man. Good luck, John

I am so sorry. I truly feel your pain and am inspired by your strength. No words can express how cruel people can be and how they can let us down. You have been true to yourself....in the long run that is all that counts. One day I hope I can carry myself as you have. Hugs and hang in there!

I am so sorry to hear this. I am so happy that you stood strong and knew what you needed to do. Obviously he was not the right man and was not in the right place if he so readily went back to his ex.
You are truly amazing and have worked so hard to be there for him and help him!
