This is going to be a little odd but I don't know where else to get this information- I have searched the web......it is directed at wives whose spouses have dementia. All of a sudden my husband's sex drive is greatly increased but with nothing to back it up, if you know what I mean. All you ever hear about is how to make things happen, Viagra, etc but is there something to turn him off! He will even say inappropriate things in public but fortunately I have been able to cut him off so no knew what he was talking about. I sure I hope I get an answer to this.

According to my best friend whose husband is in the last stages of Frontal Temporal dementia this will pass. This is part of the degression of the disease. There will come a time when he will not know anything including who you are. She says to tell you to enjoy and take advantage of every moment that you can so you will not have any regrets. Her husband is in an assisted living center now and doesn't know who she is. She said this part is the hardest part of the disease. She is now alone and trying to cope as best as she can. She is only 53 and he is 56 so they are a very young couple to be going through this tough disease. I hope this helps.

Thanks, angel. My husband is only 60 and doesn't always know who I am either. As a matter of fact, just now he is sitting beside me and asked me, "So how do I know you?" It is weird to have your husband forget you but it seems to me like he ALWAYS knows that there is an important connection between us, that somehow I am an important person to him. He absolutely panics if he can't see me.

That is what my friends husband did. He didn't know who she was but didn't want her to leave him. She had to place him for his own safety. He would get out of the house and go walking towards a busy street. She was very concerned for his safety. I will keep you in my prayers. Blessings

My husband has not yet done any wandering, almost the opposite, he is afraid to go out. Another friend of mine, her husband is the same- he won't get out of bed.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
