You don't have to get your expectations up too high but it sounds like it would be worth exploring. I'll be thinking of you.
As to medications, side effects, Drs, etc. I have no power in this family of origin. Everything is outsourced to a Medical Advocate. I try to communicate my concerns and observations with her, but my sisters have triangulated the situation in which I really have no voice. Imagine banging your head against a brick wall. That about sums it up. Due to this, I have been feeling intense rage due to my impotence and inability to do anything more than "just visit Mom."
Very painful to explain it all...I haven't even scraped the top of the iceberg. I just get to observe and be in a position to do absolutely nothing about it. Except get angry. I've written numerous, exhausting journals on the subject.
I'm sure there's some explanation, given all her physical health issues and medications, but I do not know if the Drs have any explanation. I am not privy to those conversations.
Just thought I'd share my experience here, in case someone has a similar experience.
Thanks for the support and words of encouragement ;)
