i am taking Tramadol and about the best thing it does for me is help me sleep. it distances the pain more then taking it away but i take Panadeine Forte as well and that helps for most of the pain. about all the side effects i get are occasional headaches but i also take advil and that usually works for my headaches. lots of water too helps.

Because the government watches docters socarefuly with narcotics, they will try to put you on anything BUT a real pain reliever.

Tramadol made me extremely sick as well.

Try opiods. The withdrawl from methedon will be horrible. Methedon was developed during world war 2 when they ran out of morophine. It can be very effectice if taken in higher doses, however...it Has claws and withdrawl is HORRIBLE... and it sound like your dealing with cronic, not acute pain Ask your docter to discuss the difference with you. It's an education you will wish you had six months ago.

when I finally kicked my drug addiction to Vicodine my Pain Mgmt Doc put me on Ultram. It seems to do the job. I don't have the side effects thank goodness. I know sometimes it doesn't work & he told me to go off of it for a day or 2 then take some & It'll work. Yes it did. But the "couple days" I was off it was full of pain.
