Has anyone ever run out of meds before you can refill? I need your advise. Have been in so much pain and I had to go out of town for funeral and just ran out. Today is Friday and I am not sure whether to try to call dr. or suffer withdrawals.

When can you refill again? Has this happened before when you had to call doctor early for a refill? If you've called him EARLY for a refill more than a couple of times, I'm not sure if I'd do it again or he's going to think you're constantly abusing your meds. Do you OFTEN take more than prescribed? Perhaps you need to talk to him about the fact that the meds just aren't working well, and you either need an increase in dosage or frequency or a change to a different medication. But the way it is isn't satisfactory!! k

Leeall, I did call my primaary on Friday and he gave me 10. I have been out 3 days and get my prescription on Wednesday. I complained the last time if she could up the mg. but she gave me morphine and I could not take it and she added neurontin. Does not work. Hope for epidural Friday and meds Wednesday. It hurts to be up and function. What to do one more day. Do you know if anything can be done for DDD? Thx

Even if you are out of town the local pharmacy should be able to take care of you. I usually go to walgreens because there is one everywhere and you can go to any walgreens with your script and get it refilled. I think its the same for the other ones too. I checked with the city I was going one time. Because I was cutting it close. I have a new blog. http://degendiscdisease.blogspot.com/
