I may have degenerative disc disease in my lower back. OK. I do. I may have a messed up bladder with a medical condition called interstitial cystitis. OK. I do. I may get tired more often and have to take naps. OK. I do. I may wake up in pain every single day. OK. I do. I may have had neck surgery, as in neck fusion, back in 2010. OK. I did. I may have had 4 major surgeries last year alone. OK. I did.I may often walk with a cane. OK. I do. I may be waiting on a hearing with an administrative law judge to see if I can get on disability. OK. I am. I may be on retirement disability and not making much money. OK. I am. I may be 46 and have no wife and/or kids. OK. I am. I may not understand why I am not in better shape and able to work and enjoy traveling and so forth and so on. Regardless, I am not defeated. Besides, God isn't finished with me yet. I am still breathing now. Life goes on. It is definitely true that I could be in better shape now. That would be good. It is also true that I could be in worse shape now. I may be as time goes on. It could be that I still have many years ahead of me. I am still me. I am still being real. Everybody that prays to be healed isn't suddenly healed. That does not have to mean the person that did not recieve healing is not a true Christian or a true believer in the power of prayer and/or healing. OK. I decided to come up with the post while I was at a Bible study group tonight. Anyhow, we don't have any perfect people; therefore, I don't want anybody judging on me. I am not sure every one that reads it will understand it all too good. Some will understand it good enough. I am also a war vetran from Desert Storm; therefore, I used to be in better shape and have proper energy and so forth. OK. I don't need any sympathy at all. I could have a better life, but I am not complaining now. I am not trying to sound like a doofus, either. I may not always be the happiest camper, but it is not fun to live with pain daily and to have so many different doctors visits and then get proper number hours of sleep and still get the "time to take a nap" feeling at some point most every day. OK. I should hope my post is not boring and/or out of line. At least, I am gonna post it now. Amen (copied and pasted from Facebook)Yep.
Is this the first time you've applied for Disability? If it is, you may be denied. Seems like most are denied the first time. Don't know why. Maybe it's to weed out the people who really aren't disabled, so they will discourage them from applying a second time. Who knows. If you are denied, make sure you get an attorney, and hire him on contingency so you don't have to pay him. He will get his fee from your back wages.
I hope and pray you are approved for disability. It took me 3 times. I was denied twice. I sure had all the proof I needed -- I most have had a bunch of mean people who were doing the approvals. LOL

Pain is a part of life...darn it! I am greatful for each day..especially the low/no pain days. Nights are always painful for me..arthrits, DDD..I have had some really difficult experiences, and have learned, it passes..Always different. We all do the best we can, and learn to deal with what we have.
Sounds to me like you are doing good. I too have heard it takes 3x to be approved for SSDI.

After officially being diagnosed with severe CDD this month your post was an inspiration to an older guy of 65. I've been living with manageable pain for a dozen years, My current pain make each day a task. But as you say we're alive. Although my wife and I are spiritual we are not religious. May the 'powers' that be keep watch over you.
