I finally got to see a pain management doctor last week. I think a potato had more personality...why do these guys go into medicine?
Anyway, I mentioned that I heard that trigger point injections helped with CMP (chronic myofascial pain) and he stated NO! So he is going to do SI Injections instead. He also said that my arthritis is causing my pain but did not RX any meds for it.
I told him I tried acupuncture-he said nothing. He attended the same university that my son is at and did not even want to converse about that.
He just fixated on the fact I had smoked some pot to help with my pain while I had no health insurance...told me to quit immediately and that he would be testing me on a regular basis.
I give up! I live in a small town in Georgia now and we do not have many options for doctors...Uggghhhhhh....

Oh Nem..I think that is terrible how he treated you!!! In my opinion if you have found something that makes it feel even a LITTLE bit better that go for it!!!!

So you got one of the those kinds of doctors huh? Yes I know the type you say have no personality. I live in a small town in South eastern CO and the doctors here are no better. The Army wants to take over most of the land they call it Pinion Canyon Manuver site. Our hospiatal here has a hard time recruiting good doctors. Now the Army wants the land. So at least your town will exsist in a few years. Mine might not be so lucky.

I have a neurologist like that, first time I seen him, he did all his tests said I had some inconsistencies with feeling where he touched me, scheduled me for an emg, asked me some questions, told me he wasn't concerned about the lesion on my brain, then when I went for the emg, he didn't even remember seeing me and I had to tell him where he was supposed to do the emg. He was going to do the bottom part of my back and was supposed to be doing the top. I live in Kingsport TN and there aren't alot to choose from here either. Actually I was very appalled by this man
